Wish list.

I came across this *post* while randomly browsing at work and it made me smile. It's a list of all the things she is going to do now they don't have weddingness chewing up hard earned $$.

My list looks like this:

  • Another puppy.
  • Then throw all the money that was going into the "Wedding Account" into a "Europe Trip"
  • A fabulous outfit for when I am strolling around the streets of Paris <3

Talk about being a sucker for punishment. but unlike Wedding, Europe doesn't have a deadline date so savings don't need to be so hard core or strict which reduces my stress levels and freaking out about having enough when the bills are due.

May To-Do List

1. Order Wedding Bands!
OMG I just gave myself a panic attack thinking about May and then seeing it's only going to be 6 months out from the wedding. 6 months. 6 friggin months. *has mini heart attack*
The bands won't take 6 months to order in. They will take 8-12 weeks for Marks and then about 6 weeks max for mine. But if we do it now, we will have them and they will be there and we won't have to worry about them until it comes time to pack them in the suitcase for the trip Down South.

2. Order My Wedding Dress.

3. Order the Bridesmaids Dresses.

4. GET BRIDESMAID SHOES TICKED OF THE LIST ONCE AND FOR ALL
I am so sick and tired of shoes. I hate them. I don't even have shoes for me! I am making myself panic, imagining on the morning of the wedding, there I am running around Busselton waiting for Target Country or something to open to run around in a fit trying to find anything to go on my feet. Same with the girls. Arg!

5. Decide on when/where/etc the details of the prewedding photo shooot.

And I am not as pretty as those girls in magazines...

...and neither will be my wedding.

I look at blogs, I look in magazines. I browse photographer blogs. And all the weddings are just beautiful. I don't have a planner as such, I am not very crafty so why hell did I choose to do DIY nearly all of it?! I want everything to be perfect. And I don't think it's going to reach my expectations.

I know a wedding is about the ceremony.

But really, if it was, NO ONE would be doing any of this shit. Face it. Everyone wants everything to look and pretty and fabulous.

I really wish last year we had moved the date. Things are tight as it is but the expiditures are piling up faster than we can. I hate it. I want my old life back, those beautiful pre-wedding days when we had one tiny mortgage and totally disposable income.

Hate it.

I Like You.

My last random wedding google-a-thon was about vowels and ceremony layouts. And despite a majority of the songs from the Juno Soundtrack being included somewhere along the way, this little ditty from Mrs Candy Corn on Wedding Bee really appealed to me.

I need to have this included and I am also waiting for the money to transfer onto my visa debit so I can buy the book of Amazon.

Check out her post here.
