A Poem for Grandad

Without A Sound.

On hearing of your passing,
I didn't know what to think or say.
I kept asking those around me,
hoping to be shown the way.

When I saw you sleeping,
so peaceful and free from pain,
I could not wish to bring you back to us,
and to suffer with all that again.

Twenty three years you were in my sight,
now all i can do is hold those memories tight.
I ahve never lost a person close to me before,
especially one like you, whom i truly adore.

As our tears continue to flow,
and we try to get used to you not being around.
We share our memories and a favourite photo,
I know you are there, watching and listening....
Only now it's all out of sight and without a sound.

RIP Grandad.

Bridesmaid Dress Colour

Say hello to Number 114.

Thanks Mr Postman.

There is always that excitment of seeing something in your letterbox that looks a little different to the normal white envelopes that contain..... bills. I used to whinge as a child that I never got mail when Mum and Dad had like 10+ letters each day and just wait for Christmas when I'd get some cards addressed to me. Those days are long gone and I'd be content to have an empty letterbox once again.

Well after a few days of total misery I got a perk yesterday arvo, courtesy of the mail man delivering my latest Etsy purchases. It came in a padded yellow envelope with a variety of stamps all around the edges and as soon as I saw that corner of yellow poking out of the front slot... I knew what it was.

And I wasn't disappointed!

Must... Stop... Spending

While browsing etsy this afternoon I came across these clutches.

I know what you're all thinking. These would be a perfect match for the bridesmaids shoes with the ruffle top if only the brown/orange was tiffany blue. See I told you I knew what you were thinking, or maybe it's just me.

Either way.... I want the girls to have these. Only thing is, so far a little chunk of the wedding budget has been spent on the girls. Their hair, makeup, jewellery, contribution to shoes, parasols, hair pieces, gifts, asking to be bridesmaid gifts, other treats I have organised for them..... These bags as adorable and perfect as they are would make money spent on them insane. Especially considering the boys have been estimated and nothing has actually been bought and locked away in my mothers spare room like the above.

Sigh.... want bags.

New wedding mantra: MUST STOP SPENDING!!!!!!

And I'm done!

Months of stressing and over planning and nightmares have really been for nothing.

I am done.

Bring this wedding on for shnizzle manizzle lol!!

And so.... *insert drum roll here* I present to you my inspiration board with items I actually own (or in the case of my dress - being made) all ready to go for the big day. Well except hair. I still need to sort out a hairdresser or two.

But tada!! Here I am! Complete with my kick ass totally awesome blue shoes (heels for day, flats for reception)
